An Open Letter From Our Site Hostess

Hey all,
I have been doing much reading over the past few days. I have a friend whom I hold very dear who is convinced that action against this tyrannical government is not the right course. This friend is someone I respect a great deal and even though I put forth a bold front and argue my case, I ponder, am I right? But, I watch and listen and read of the things this government is doing, not to me, but to mankind as a whole and I know I’m right. The fault is mine, I’m not using the right words or something. That’s what I have been brooding over, what am I missing?

At what point in our lives have we seen this much suffering in the world? Boko Harum, Al Qaieda, the suffering of the Chinese and the North Koreans. The people of the Ukraine. Christians in this country are suffering each and every day at the hands of the iniquitous LGBT fascists. Bake our cakes, bless our unions or we will bankrupt you, and indeed they do, while Christians in middle eastern nations are suffering unimaginable evils. And what do we, people of good conscience do? NOTHING, we gripe, we bitch, we say this shouldn’t be happening. We are now living the nightmare our Founders and Framers warned us of again and again. We keep waiting for another George Washington, another Thomas Jefferson or Patrick Henry to lead us out of this.

Well, I think I may have finally figured out why we’re missing the point. George Washington, Jefferson, Henry, they were just men. What set them apart, what made them not only special but turned them into heroes was not some superhuman power. It was one thing, their reliance upon Divine Providence to lay the very foundation of this nation.

The Pilgrims, the true “Founders” of this nation, were born in such a time and place where how people worshipped was mandated by a king. When a small minority of them began to read the Bible on their own, they discovered what an amazing man Jesus Christ really was. They also discovered that they could send up their own prayers, worship in their own way and out of this knowledge they built a strong relationship with their God. They knew this relationship was of utmost importance and therefore risked their lives to come to this new land where they could worship as they chose.

Some 125 years later, this new world was still grounded in that knowledge. They had risked a great deal to gain even more, the Divine Providence they sought was not only among them, but within them. So, Washington, Jefferson, Henry and the rest of them just did what would follow. They demanded to be treated fairly, to continue to worship as they chose and to be a part of the body that governed their actions. You know the story, king wasn’t happy.

So, these men did what they knew in their hearts was right, even though it meant breaking ties with the only government they had known, the country they were born in. Very dangerous in those days and almost certainly doomed to fail. But, Divine Providence was there, leading their hearts. Some, however, were slow to understand the vast importance of the formation of this new country. A country that would bring more peace to the world than it had yet known. A country that would bring advances in medicine, technology and agriculture that would save millions. A country with men and women in its armies and navies that would pledge their lives for their God and their Country, voluntarily.

So, Patrick Henry begged them, not to be deceived by a kiss. To look into the danger facing them and act, before it was too late. Many called him an alarmist, but he was right. The watchman MUST do his job, it is for the rest to decide whether or not to listen. While trying to find an answer I heard Bradley Dean speaking this passage on the radio:

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

He said, “if” the sword come. The wrath of His judgement was not certain. I believe it was dependent on how the people responded. If we respond, we may certainly fail, but will have delivered our souls. If we do nothing, our blood will be required and our souls lost to hell forever. Men like Patrick Henry and Paul Revere sounded the alarm and men such as Washington answered the call.

I realize that people can and do use the Bible in ways to justify almost any act or action. Usually, those people are trying to justify doing something they know is wrong, but want to do anyway. I’m trying to justify the possibility of losing not only every material possession I have, but also losing my freedom and quite possibly my life. This is not something I want, it’s something I feel driven to do. If I could, I would rather find a way to justify sitting here at my ranch, working with my horses and marveling every day at the beauty of this earth He created. But, in my soul, I am not left with that choice.

All I can do now, is sound the trumpet and hope that others join me. Hoping, to turn back the evil and restore our values and our Country while there is still time.

Sorry for the long dissertation, just trying to find all the answers. I believe, as difficult as it may be to admit or realize it they are answers each one of us already knows.

I undertand where Lory is coming from. Sometimes I have to turn the news off or the tears will never stop. We all need to realize that Jesus is the answer and there are muslims who are finding Him.
We must all remember to pray for Lory also. There are many men who are not willing to even consider doing what she is doing. What a courageous soul!
The hardest thing for me, is the denial;the failure of so many of my countrymen and women to see where we are headed. I guess that “normalcy bias” syndrome must be real.
Whatever,I believe we are living in the end times and must take the gospel to all we can!
I also believe we will all be called to lead in some fashion and pray that we will all stand strong and keep the faith.
Lory, if you get to read this, God be with you. I so hope to meet you face to face one day soon. For now, see you here, there, or in the air.
    Blessings, judy
