Our efforts paid off in Louisiana!

Earlier this week I asked for your support to help us secure critical
victories around the country.

I’m thrilled to report that your hard work and contributions are
making all the difference.

Yesterday afternoon, the Louisiana state legislature passed the
Convention of States resolution on a 62-36 vote!

This makes Louisiana the eighth state in history to call for a
Convention of States to finally, once-and-for-all halt the abuses of the
federal government.

For too long the “elite” in D.C. have acted with impunity, disregarding the will of We the People and crushing state sovereignty.

Now the people of Louisiana have joined with Florida, Georgia, Alaska, Alabama, Tennessee, Indiana, and Oklahoma in this historic
fight to
restore the rightful authority of the people and the states.

George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and the other Founding Fathers knew that one day the federal government would forget their place and abuse their power.

So the Founders voted unanimously to include the Convention of States option in Article V of the Constitution, which allows the states to propose constitutional amendments that rein in Washington, D.C.

But that’s not the end of the story.

They had lots more to say about Article V, and we’ve included some of their thoughts (along with those from other American defenders of

There are now 10 states that have agreed to the application of a
Convention of States. Earlier last year in the Nebraska Legislature, Senator Ebke’s LR35 was recommended to the Government Committee, which then sent it back to General File. While the resolution maintains its status as a priority bill, it did not make it back on the agenda before the end of the most recent session. We all need to educate ourselves about implementing Article V of our Constitution and get behind LR35 in Nebraska’s next legislative session.
