Remember The McPherson Firestorm?

Published Post author

The following mailing came from the Nebraska Leaders List and I thought I should share it with you all …

Nebraska,

Remember the McPherson Firestorm? Started by a private post, on a private blog, made by someone else, that used a factual term – “half-breed”? Followed by weeks of accusations and outcry, over an accurate comment, the source unverified and virtual hell for a man most describe as trying to do the right thing in his political service?

2 months later – Ernie Chambers, with his long history of divisive race-baiting and public disrespect for anyone who disagrees with him, makes a blatantly racist comment supporting a national agenda. That agenda promotes hatred of the police, encourages attacks against them, targets and assassinates officers. He then puts law enforcement officers below the sub-humans who pose for photos with the heads of children in their hands, standing over their bodies. Finally he announced he would shoot a police officer unprovoked.

Now compare the reactions: The SBOE, teachers’ union, World Herald, LJS, etc. and even Ricketts, Sasse and Fischer (as a political favor to someone) howled for weeks, demanding Pat McPherson’s resignation. The pressure was unrelenting and the left was lock-stepped in attack mode.

But Chambers? The “champions of justice” are silent or offering excuses. Compare Gov Ricketts’ comments on this one to McPherson. And Sasse and Fischer are all of a sudden too busy to notice. Can any rational person look at the 2 incidents, excuse one as free speech or “just being Ernie” and then try to say they believe in equality before the law (our state motto, by the way)?

Here’s Your Liberal Lesson For Today:

The difference is simple: the left has an agenda and a purpose. Their ideas are wildly unpopular (about 30% support for most). So they have to stay tight, united and back each other, even when they disagree. They also understand that when one of their own is diminished, even slightly, they all suffer. So they fiercely defend their own in public. They will tear and destroy to protect their own and their agenda. And it’s working quite well.

To see why we struggle for even small gains, look at the Unicameral yesterday. Two good men stood up to address a gross wrong. McCoy and Schnoor demanded specific actions – an apology and a resignation. They took the lead but what did the rest of their “team” do? They stood up to be kind, gentle, collegial, understanding, forgiving – all admirable and right in another time. But in a serious battle those are the marks of the loser. Genuine leaders stood up – with no one following.

Disagree? Answer this one: Who’s winning in Lincoln? Whose agenda is moving forward? Who’s fighting to survive? Who controls the key committees? The libs are winning because, to a person, they stood yesterday with varying explanations but one firm voice: defend Ernie. They understand that their personal opinions and agendas are second to progress. They understand that they are in a fight where one side wins and one loses. They will not tolerate even a small defeat and are together, committed and focused. Those are the marks of winners.

The problem with conservatives is that we have no central focus and no leadership. We have the ideas, principled and good. But we have no leadership because we refuse to give or support it. Yesterday 2 men tried to provide leadership. It was a mini-Benghazi. Two leaders stepped forward, to be abandoned or shot in the back by their own people.

BUT – It’s not over. Showing better judgment than our conservative(?) senators, the media is staying on the story. FOX is doing an interview tomorrow. There is more to come. You now have 2 choices:
Keep your head down and keep walking, hoping we won’t be seen as mean people or be criticized too much.
Stand up behind the senators trying to hold Chambers accountable. Start winning by covering the backs of those willing to lead, whether you entirely agree or not.

WHY? Because I promise you that if I were Senator McCoy or Schnoor, standing up to take that kind of political risk, then finding no one behind me, I would let you fend for yourselves. We talk about not being represented. Whether they are exactly right isn’t the issue. They are taking a stand to represent Nebraska decency. They deserve to be followed. Win this one now, then figure out later what we could have done better.

You owe it to them and to the rest of Nebraska to weigh in. At the VERY LEAST, Chambers owes the police and military a sincere apology. A personal visit to Omaha or Lincoln PD would show sincerity.

Over the weekend, call or send emails in this order:
5 emails to senators (maybe to the “conservative” senators), politely but firmly demanding nothing less than a full, written, public apology read from the floor of the Unicameral. If you can do 10 or more, do it but use separate emails for each senator. http://nebraskavoice.net/dada_mail_support_files/file_uploads/files/Unicameral_Contact_Info15_pdf%282%29.pdf
Email or call Gov. Ricketts – thanking him for demanding a public apology and asking him to keep up the pressure. 402-471-2244 http://www.governor.nebraska.gov/contact/contact.php
Thank-you’s to Sen’s. McCoy & Schnoor – Many of you already have. They’re taking the pressure on your behalf.

The lesson is simple: If We Don’t Start Acting Like We Want To Win – Quickly – We’re In Serious Trouble. You Will Have The Leadership You Support And The Success You Earn – Not One Drop More.

AMERICA IS SCREWED: Unless ‘We The People’ Get Baptized In Our Founders’ Rebel Spirit
-Written by Doug Giles on March 22, 2015

Screen-Shot-2015-03-22-at-8.03.16-AM-300x180

For those who didn’t know this, our nation was founded by brilliant, freedom-loving bad-asses.

It’s hard to imagine that nowadays because our country is currently being deconstructed by moronic, liberty-choking, dumb-asses also known as “politicians”. In particular…Liberal politicians. Liberals, you see, don’t mind what you do as long as they approve. They’re kind of like King George III and his inbred dipsticks in that regard. Or, for a more current example, they’re somewhat like Islam with their fascism, sans the billygoat beards and the suicide vests.

That said, our current crop of freedom-stranglers aren’t entirely made up of Leftists as there are many who claim to represent the Right who also believe it’s their duty in life to make our lives beholden to big government, power-hungry dillweeds.

If our founders were around right now they would stomp on this current crop of managers like a narc at a biker party. Literally.

Yep, from a freedom standpoint, our founders were a horse of a different stripe. They hated control freaks. They loathed tyrants. They trusted government about as far as I could toss Rosie O’Donnell following her 5pm feeding after I just finished the Hotter ‘N Hell 100.

Indeed, once our original framers got this incredible country up and officially cranking they began to cobble together a seal, a picture, a motto, and an emblem, which would encapsulate what they had concocted on fresh American soil.

Benjamin Franklin, being the rebel he was, wanted it to be a picture of Moses confronting Obama…I mean, Pharaoh, when Moses demanded Pharaoh cease his enslavement of Israel and let God’s people go. This image was to be encircled with the phrase, “Rebellion To Tyrants Is Obedience To God”. Thomas Jefferson liked the motto “Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God” so much, he used it on his personal seal.

Today, especially during BHO’s be-damned days, the symbol the Left would concoct to represent their “American Dream” would be a pic of a dependent, 45yr.-old, multi-pierced lesbian breast-feeding off a big, old, saggy, milk-dried, government dog tit: a veritable dependent, indebted and enslaved minion from the cradle to the grave. If you don’t believe me click here.

So, what’s my point? Well, it’s this: we’re wussies. All of us. We have not the singular mettle that made this grand experiment in self-governance tick. I’m guilty and you’re guilty and we can blame corrupt politicians, puff our chest, and scream at MSNBC all day long, but the truth is … we let ‘em do it to us. We traded our freedoms, prosperity and our original roots and moorings for mediocre comfort over duty and we were daft enough to believe them time and time again.

I believe until “We The People” resurrect the aforementioned motto and mantra by which the likes of Franklin and Jefferson clipped along, namely, pardon my redundancy, “Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God”, then we will continue to see this land morph into a cartoon of what it was intended to be.

Yep, until we internally get to where our founders were, in particular, believing like they did, that it was their divine duty to vehemently oppose oppressors and not kiss their enslaving backside, we will continue to eat crap and content ourselves with ever decreasing freedom and the land of the free and the home of the brave will irreversibly morph into the land of the bound and home of the slaves.

Today’s Quote from the Patriot Post

“The mobs of the great cities add just so much to the support of pure government as sores do to the strength of the human body. It is the manners and spirit of a people which preserve a republic in vigor. A degeneracy in these is a canker which soon eats to the heart of its laws and constitution.” –Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, Query XIX, 1782

“It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment on our liberties. We hold this prudent jealousy to be the first duty of citizens, and one of the noblest characteristics of the late Revolution. The freeman of America did not wait till usurped power had strengthened itself by exercise, and entangled the question in precedents. They saw all the consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by denying the principle.” –James Madison, Memorial and Remonstrance, 1785

US Attorneys Didn’t Prosecute Illegal Immigrants

Unbelievable: US Attorneys Didn’t Prosecute Illegal Immigrants Who Used Dead Americans’ Social Security Numbers to Work – from Leah Barkoukis, online features editor at Townhall.com

3-2015

Apparently discovering that the Social Security Administration had roughly 6.5 million active social security numbers for Americans aged 112 or older wasn’t the only eye-catching discovery from the office of the inspector general’s audit.

Tucked away in a footnote was another “minor” detail: U.S. attorneys did not prosecute illegal immigrants who used the social security numbers of deceased Americans to work in the U.S.

“In three cases, [the Social Security Administration’s Office of Investigators] confirmed that illegal aliens were using deceased numberholders’ names and SSNs to work,” the footnote says. “But U.S. Attorneys in Arizona, Florida, and South Carolina declined prosecution.”

According to the audit, the Social Security numbers of 34 deceased individuals were illegally being used to obtain work in the U.S.

The fraudulent use of a Social Security number is considered a federal felony, yet for some reason, prosecutors declined to prosecute.

We request for everyone to call their Nebraska Senator and demand that any of the illegals who used the social security number in Nebraska be prosecuted under Nebraska Law!!

“The germ of dissolution of our federal government is in the constitution of the federal judiciary; an irresponsible body, (for impeachment is scarcely a scare-crow) working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief, over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall be usurped from the States, and the government of all be consolidated into one.” –Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Charles Hammond, 1821

An Open Letter From Our Site Hostess

Published Post author

Hey all,
I have been doing much reading over the past few days. I have a friend whom I hold very dear who is convinced that action against this tyrannical government is not the right course. This friend is someone I respect a great deal and even though I put forth a bold front and argue my case, I ponder, am I right? But, I watch and listen and read of the things this government is doing, not to me, but to mankind as a whole and I know I’m right. The fault is mine, I’m not using the right words or something. That’s what I have been brooding over, what am I missing?

At what point in our lives have we seen this much suffering in the world? Boko Harum, Al Qaieda, the suffering of the Chinese and the North Koreans. The people of the Ukraine. Christians in this country are suffering each and every day at the hands of the iniquitous LGBT fascists. Bake our cakes, bless our unions or we will bankrupt you, and indeed they do, while Christians in middle eastern nations are suffering unimaginable evils. And what do we, people of good conscience do? NOTHING, we gripe, we bitch, we say this shouldn’t be happening. We are now living the nightmare our Founders and Framers warned us of again and again. We keep waiting for another George Washington, another Thomas Jefferson or Patrick Henry to lead us out of this.

Well, I think I may have finally figured out why we’re missing the point. George Washington, Jefferson, Henry, they were just men. What set them apart, what made them not only special but turned them into heroes was not some superhuman power. It was one thing, their reliance upon Divine Providence to lay the very foundation of this nation.

The Pilgrims, the true “Founders” of this nation, were born in such a time and place where how people worshipped was mandated by a king. When a small minority of them began to read the Bible on their own, they discovered what an amazing man Jesus Christ really was. They also discovered that they could send up their own prayers, worship in their own way and out of this knowledge they built a strong relationship with their God. They knew this relationship was of utmost importance and therefore risked their lives to come to this new land where they could worship as they chose.

Some 125 years later, this new world was still grounded in that knowledge. They had risked a great deal to gain even more, the Divine Providence they sought was not only among them, but within them. So, Washington, Jefferson, Henry and the rest of them just did what would follow. They demanded to be treated fairly, to continue to worship as they chose and to be a part of the body that governed their actions. You know the story, king wasn’t happy.

So, these men did what they knew in their hearts was right, even though it meant breaking ties with the only government they had known, the country they were born in. Very dangerous in those days and almost certainly doomed to fail. But, Divine Providence was there, leading their hearts. Some, however, were slow to understand the vast importance of the formation of this new country. A country that would bring more peace to the world than it had yet known. A country that would bring advances in medicine, technology and agriculture that would save millions. A country with men and women in its armies and navies that would pledge their lives for their God and their Country, voluntarily.

So, Patrick Henry begged them, not to be deceived by a kiss. To look into the danger facing them and act, before it was too late. Many called him an alarmist, but he was right. The watchman MUST do his job, it is for the rest to decide whether or not to listen. While trying to find an answer I heard Bradley Dean speaking this passage on the radio:

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

He said, “if” the sword come. The wrath of His judgement was not certain. I believe it was dependent on how the people responded. If we respond, we may certainly fail, but will have delivered our souls. If we do nothing, our blood will be required and our souls lost to hell forever. Men like Patrick Henry and Paul Revere sounded the alarm and men such as Washington answered the call.

I realize that people can and do use the Bible in ways to justify almost any act or action. Usually, those people are trying to justify doing something they know is wrong, but want to do anyway. I’m trying to justify the possibility of losing not only every material possession I have, but also losing my freedom and quite possibly my life. This is not something I want, it’s something I feel driven to do. If I could, I would rather find a way to justify sitting here at my ranch, working with my horses and marveling every day at the beauty of this earth He created. But, in my soul, I am not left with that choice.

All I can do now, is sound the trumpet and hope that others join me. Hoping, to turn back the evil and restore our values and our Country while there is still time.

Sorry for the long dissertation, just trying to find all the answers. I believe, as difficult as it may be to admit or realize it they are answers each one of us already knows.

Lory
