“Our legislators are not sufficiently apprized of the rightful limits of their power; that their true office is to declare and enforce only our natural rights and duties, and to take none of them from us.” —Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Francis W. Gilmer, 1816

Guess our legislators are not well educated as to what their duty really is, or, is it just that they don’t care? The other question could be, are they being threatened or their family members? I put nothing past our gov’t or the big corporations.
If our legislators or family members are being threatened they need to some how let their constituents know. We the people could come to their aid. I really don’t want to believe they have all sold out but things just aren’t looking good.
I agree with what you are saying, yet all in all, they are elected to serve their constituents and if they do not communicate with us and let us know the whole truth about the process they are entangled in, then the “bad” is on them … I think our founding fathers envisioned the elected officials and their constituents as a “team” with one voice. How long has it been since one of your elected officials reached out to his/her constituents’ pool for a “team” consensus regarding a legislative action forth coming?

That is easy. Exactly never!
